Privacy & contact
In short, you decide what to share. I use it only to reply to you or get you a sign. I won’t publish your name, address, message, or story without your permission, and I won’t add you to a newsletter or volunteer list.
When you send a message
The message form opens in Google Forms. Only your message is required. Your name and contact information are optional. Leave an email or phone number if you’d like a reply. If you leave a phone number, tell me whether you prefer a call or text. You don’t need a Google account.
You can also email olsonforpinecity@gmail.com. Email links open your email app, and nothing is sent until you send it. Your message goes through your email provider and the campaign’s Gmail.
You can also call or text me at (320) 591-8330. It’s my phone, and I’ll use your number only to talk with you about your message or your sign.
Sensitive personal details usually aren’t needed for a conversation or sign delivery.
When you ask for a yard sign
The request form asks for your name, your delivery address, and whether you’d like an arranged in-person handoff, a door drop-off, or placement in your yard. You can also add delivery notes, like where you’d like the sign. An email or phone number is required only for an in-person handoff so I can arrange a time. For the other delivery choices, contact information is optional.
I’ll use those details to arrange your sign delivery. I’ll only put the sign up if you choose that option and give your permission. You can also send a request by email.
Where it’s kept
Form submissions are stored in Google Forms and private Google Sheets in the campaign account. I use them to respond to messages and arrange sign deliveries. Because those are Google services, Google handles the information too. Responses aren’t displayed publicly.
Asking your permission
I’ll ask your permission before sharing or quoting your message publicly. I won’t publish your name, address, message, or story without your permission.
Sending a message or requesting a sign won’t add you to a newsletter or volunteer list, or sign you up for automated calls or texts. I’ll use the contact information you provide to follow up personally about your message or sign request. Sharing something doesn’t mean endorsing my campaign, and asking for a sign doesn’t give me permission to use your message as an endorsement.
This website
The forms open on Google’s website, and this website doesn’t store your submissions. The site has no visitor analytics and loads nothing from other companies. Like any website, the web host sees basic connection information when you visit.
A separate campaign address
This website and email address are for my campaign. The City of Pine City, Pine County, and HRA offices each handle their own services and official business.
